Swim Across America raises over $740,000 for cancer research

San Francisco, CA — DRIPPI Associate Director and former competitive swimmer Acacia Landfield and DRIPPI Co-Director of Development & Operations + WOWSA president Quinn Fitzgerald united in San Francisco alongside hundreds of swimmers and teams to swim the 40th annual Swim Across America swim on September 21, 2025. 

If enacted, the measure would mark a major step toward ensuring that every California child—regardless of income or background—has access to essential water-safety education and life-saving swim instruction.

Acacia and Quinn served as Swim Angels for two pre-teen swimmers. They navigated the structural current leading into Aquatic Park and came across the finish line with smiles and congratulatory high fives with their swimmers.
