Started in 2016, JBP is based in Texas and is undertaking IRB research alongside DRIPPI researchers. JBP's mission is to provide funding for survival swim instruction for children 6 years and under whose parents cannot afford the lessons otherwise, to provide CPR/First Aid and AED certification for individuals 8 years and older and to provide other life-saving education to families to help prevent children from drowning.
The World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA ) is a global nonprofit that educates, connects, and celebrates the open-water community. We combine decades of on-water experience with cutting-edge research to deliver training and insights that make open-water swimming safer and smarter at every level—from water-safety and learn-to-swim, through recreational swimming, to elite endurance pursuits.
One of the founding organizations of the DRIPPI consortium, GLSRP has been instrumental in educating and training tens of thousands of people in hundreds of communities in the Great Lakes, USA region.
Working across 21 countries around the world, Bridges to Prosperity brings engineering and infrastructure solutions to rural areas -- including building bridges so kids can safely get to school without having to cross waist- or neck-deep rivers/streams.

JH-IIRU identifies solutions, influences policy, and advances the field of injury prevention throughout the world.
The Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative to Prevent Drowning supports evidence-based activities in Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Uganda, the United States, and Viet Nam including supervision of young children in childcare sites, survival swimming instruction to children ages 6-15, and enhanced data collection.
IDRA is an international group of passionate profitvolunteers with an impressive level of expertise in drowning research across a wide spectrum of topics from a diverse range of backgrounds.
